I have no info on this trimmer at all. It was with the house when we moved in and has run quite well the last 4 years. I went to start it up for the Sring clean-up, primed it, and it ran for about 3-4 seconds, Tried again and it again ran for 3-4 seconds, Now, it will not start at all. Checked the air filter, fuel lines, and spark plug (champion 817-1e). Everything seems to be OK, but won't start. I also cannot find a cross reference for the spark plug. I was told to replace the champion plug with a NGK, but cannot find a listing or a cross reference. Also, the model number on the plastic protective housing is listed as a model 580 Dualline, and the model number on the engine casting is labeled with a IDC 540-2. Does anyone have any ideas?
