my tablet is painfully slow when chatting on fb an...

my tablet is painfully slow when chatting on fb and sometimes peoples messages don't even show up till the next day....I only use my tablet for fb, don't have music/videos on it to slow it down.....grrr....frustrating....most of the time it is very slow when typing messages, however, once in a while it works normal
