0 Thanks, dscqueen. I have formatted, reloaded with long files, deleted them, re-loaded music, also downloaded FW upgrade utility and upgraded to v3..75 .... battery symbol shows 80%, it still jump-plays from file to file and back. I do not think the files themselves are corrupted, or that I am near a strong magnetic field. Any ideas? Maybe there is physical damage to the drive?

0 I had the same message and I tried many things to fix it. Mine started working again when I took an old speaker and turned it face down, then put the mp3 player face up on the magnet (face of MP3 away from magnet). I checked back a few days later and it was working with all of the files intact. I think it got corrupted when I removed it from my PC without doing the "SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE" process on my PC.
