Question About RCA MP3 Player TH102

This mp3 player locks up I have replaced battery the screen comes on but nothing else works. Any ideas how to fix this problem

2 Remove the battery... fold out the USB and plug it into your usb port... Let the computer recognize it... Then do the safe remove thing... Put in the battery and wa-la it starts up again... Weird aye!!! PETR
