Question About Riccar Vacuum Cleaner 8955
8955 just stopped!...

I was vacuuming and the vacuum just stopped, I changed the bag, checked the plug, switched it on and off but nothing worked, yet brought it to a dealer and they said they would take care of it, it was done quickly and $49.95 later, was it a quick fix that I could have taken care of?
