It starts fine but no output voltage. 1. With the AVR disconnected and the generator running,the voltage on the stator windings and got 6.2 Volt. the voltage on the brush terminals is 5.7 Volts, I therefore bought a new AVR - still no voltage with the AVR disconnected I tried to re-energise the magnetism in the rotor by applying 12V to the rotor while the generator was running Still no voltage I could not get a resistance reading of the coils on the rotor through the brushes on the rotor Help!
