Mine is not taking water from air. The fan is running and I assume the motor is running. However after a bit there is an odor like hot plastic (not an electrical smell) and it feels hot on top. Smell gets stronger the longer it runs. We cleaned the filter and coils, checked the room capacity and location and all seems good. It still is not taking moisture from air. Could it be the compressor?
