As I try to adjust the pitch on my SL-B2 turntable, I can't get the turntable to turn at a rock-steady speed. It used to work fine (about 10 years ago!). I've replaced the belt, but still get to much wow and flutter.

0 I have the same turntable and had the same problem. The pitch adjustment potentiometer has gotten corroded over time. You can buy some electronics cleaner from Radio Shack and clean it out, though. Just unscrew the bottom and look for the pitch control wheel. Unscrew that board and squirt the cleaner in through the small slot. Turn the pitch wheel back and forth to "scrub" the inside clean. It works for a while (say, 6 months) but you'll have to do it again. Argh! If you're more electronically inclined you could probably replace it.... good luck!
