TV goes into channel search mode everytime it is turned on. This means you can wait for up to 20minutes before tv will let you choose a programme. It is connected via a hdmi cable to a sky+ box it is not used for freevuew via aerial connection as the aerial is not connected. Have tried turning standby mode to off in the menu this doesn't make any difference at all.
