Question About Viking Stove None
lighting the oven...

I turn the oven dial to the desired temp., a light the the left of the knob lights, but the gas oven does not ignite and there is no gas smell. How do I start the oven. We are new owners and we have no instruction manuals to help us. Top burners work just fine. Cannot find the product model number, but this is a four burner viking professional series stove, with a convection feature.

0 I think your oven is working fine the viking oven has a glow igniter and the gas will not be released until the igniter is hot enough this usally takes about 1-2 minutes.

0 I have an older viking range. The same thing has happened to me. Their is a ceramic part that needs to be replaced. It just burns out. I actually replaced mine with a GE part. I had to break off a small part to make it fit, but it works fine.
