Question About Whirlpool Washer 3LA5801XX
Problem with my whirlpool toploader...

Hi there. Please would u be so kind as to help me. I hava a whirlpool toploader model 3LA5800xs and it has all of a sudden just stoped spinning, you can hear the motor still works and the water part works but it just wont spin I was wondering if there is a chance it could be something so simple as a broken belt? An help will be much appreciated. Thank-you kindly.

0 It is most probably your control switch. The big one on the right hand side. If you technical minded you can open it and check for contacts that has fused together. If you lucky you can pry them open and clean them again, ie with sandpaper folded double or even a fine nail file. Otherwise you will need a new switch.
