TheIEEE1394DriverCannotBeInstalledCorrectly
InWindows,thedeviceinterfacedrivermaynotbeinstalledcorrectlyinsomecasesifyouconnectedthe
IEEE1394cablebeforeinstallingtheprinterdriver.
Ifso,reinstalltheIEEE1394deviceinterfacedriverandtheprinterdriverasfollows.
Important
•ThisprocedureisbasedonanexampleforWindowsXP.Thenameofthewizardmaybedifferent
inotheroperatingsystems.
1.Right-clickMyComputerandchoosePropertiestodisplaytheSystemPropertieswindow.
2.OntheHardwaresheet,clickDeviceManagertodisplaytheDeviceManagerwindow.
3.Right-clickOtherDevicesiconandchooseProperties.
4.OntheDriversheet,clickUpdateDrivertostarttheHardwareUpdateWizard(ortheUpgrade
DeviceDriverWizard.)
5.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
6.Whenthewindowisdisplayedtochoosethesourcefordriverinstallation,selecttheCD-ROM
drive.InserttheUserSoftwareCD-ROMprovidedwiththeprinterandfollowtheinstructions
onthescreen.
Thedevice/interfacedriverisinstalled.
Thedeviceisdetected,andtheNewHardwareWizard(orAddNewHardwareWizard)
isstarted.
7.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
8.Whenthewindowisdisplayedtochoosethesourcefordriverinstallation,selecttheprinter
driverfolder.
ChoosetheCD-ROMdrive>Driver>WinXP_2K>Driver,andclickOK.(ForWindows
2000/WindowsXP/WindowsServer2003)
9.Followtheinstructionsonthescreen.
Theprinterdriverisinstalled.
