•YoucanadjustthestrengthofvacuumholdingpaperagainstthePlatenwhentheReleaseLever
isup.Ifitisdifculttoloadpaper,pressthe▲or▼buttonontheControlPaneltoadjustthe
strength.Increasethevacuumbypressingthe▲buttonordecreaseitwiththe▼button.Three
levelsareavailable.
However,evenifyouincreasethevacuum,itmaynotbesufcienttoholdsometypesofpaper
againstthePlatenwell.Inthiscase,useyourhandtoloadthepaper.
•AsheetisheldinplacebyvacuumingthroughholesonthePlaten.Althoughthevacuumingmay
produceanoisewhenpaperisloadedinsomepositions,itdoesnotindicateaproblem.Ifthenoise
isdistracting,trymovingthepaperoverslightlytotheleftorright(upto1mm[0.039in])while
keepingitparalleltothePaperAlignmentLine.
•Thevacuumremainsonforabout30secondsduringloading.Ifyoucannotnishloadingasheet
duringthistime,pullthesheetawayandreinsertittostartthevacuumsuctionagain.
3.LowertheReleaseLeverandclosetheTopCover.
Theprinternowstartsfeedingthepaper.
Afterthepaperisadvanced,theprinterautomaticallygoesonlineandstartsprinting.
Ifnoprintjobhasbeenreceivedfromthecomputerbeforehand,theprinterautomaticallyshows
amenuforselectionofthepapertypeontheDisplayScreen.
