The SW2 DVI A and SW4 DVI A are two and four input, one output, single
link DVI - Digital Visual Interface switchers that allow multiple DVI input signals
to be switched to one compatible display. These switchers are compatible with
PC resolutions up to 1920x1200 @ 60 Hz, and also support HDTV 1080p.
To enhance and simplify integration, both models feature the EDID Minder
that automatically manages the EDID information between the digital display
device connected to the output and all the input sources. By maintaining
continuous EDID communication with all sources, EDID Minder ensures all DVI
sources power up properly and maintain their video outputs whether or not
they are actively connected to the digital display device through the switcher's
output. Front panel LED signal presence indicators provides a quick means of
active signal verification.
Independent input equalization reduces the need for additional signal
conditioning equipment by compensating for signal loss when using long
input cable assemblies. Front panel switches allow user-selectable EQ
levels. The SW DVI A Series switchers are user-configurable for manual or
autoswitching modes. Autoswitching allows any input of the switcher to be
selected automatically when the switcher detects a signal.
Convenient control options allow easy integration into a variety of
environments. These options include front panel control, IR, RS-232, and
autoswitching. To further simplify integration, both SW DVI A switchers are
housed in compact, 1U, half rack width enclosures that are easily mounted
into optional Extron 1U Universal Rack Shelf Kits.
