Guidelines for repacking the scanner
●
Remove the scanner from the printer. See “Removing the
scanner.”

Use the shipping container and packing material in which the
replacement unit came, if possible. Shipping damage as a result
of inadequate packing is your responsibility. If you have already
disposed of the scanner’s packing material, contact a local
mailing service for information on repacking the scanner.
●
Include a completed copy of the Service information form. See
“Service information form.”
●
HP recommends insuring the equipment for shipment.
