In Shooting mode, press [

].

Scroll to Manual Focus.

•
When you adjust the focus distance manually and the subject is out of
focus, the photo may become blurry.
•
If you use this function, you cannot set focus area options, Face
Detection options, and Smart Zoom option.

Select an option.
Icon Description
Auto Focus (Normal): Focus on a subject farther than
40 cm away. Farther than 100 cm away when you use
the zoom.
Manual Focus: Focus on a subject by adjusting the
focus distance manually. (p. 73)
Macro: Manually focus on a subject that is 1–40 cm
from the camera. 40–100 cm when you use the zoom.
Auto Macro:
•
Focus on a subject farther than 1 cm away. Farther
than 40 cm away when you use the zoom.
•
This option is set automatically in some modes. You
cannot set it manually.
Available options may differ depending on the shooting conditions.
