>button sets the printeron-lineand off-line.The status
changeseachtimeyoupressthebutton.
Whentheprinterison-line,itcanreceiveandprintdatafromthecomputer.
Whentheprinterisoff-line,itstopsprintingandsendsthecomputerasignal
indicatingthatit cannotacceptdata.
Theprinterpowersup intheon-linestatusifpaperisloaded.If paperisnot
loaded,the printerpowersup off-linewiththe
POWER indicatorflashing.
Whenyouloadpaper,the
POWER indicatorstopsflashing,andtheprinter
goeson-line.

The other panel buttons operate only in the off-line state. Press the

LINE ) button to go off-line.
After performing the panel

button duringprinting,the printer stops
printingand goesoff-line,allowingyouto checktheprintoutor change
acontrolpanelsetting.Printingresumeswhenyoupressthe(

buttonagainto go backon-line.
● To cut fanfoldformsattheendof printing
Whenusingfanfoldforms,youcanholdthe (
ON
LINE
)
buttondown
for one second.In additionto goingoff-line,the printeralso feedsthe
paperforwardapproximatelytwoinches.Thisallowsyoutocutitoffjust
belowthelast lineprinted.
Whenyoupressthe (
ON
LINE
)
buttonagainto go back on-line,the
paperfeedsbackwardstoppingwhereyouleft off.
NOTE:This functionis validonlywhenthebufferis empty.
PAPER FEED button
If youpressthisbuttonwhileoff-line,thepaperwillfeed forward.If you
holdthebuttondown,theprinterwillperformconsecutiveline feeds.
