4. Lift up the tip of the guide bar, and
turn the chain tension adjusting
screw counterclockwise to tighten
the chain saw.
(1) Lift up the tip of the guide bar.
(2) Loosen
(3) Tighten
(4) Tensioner screw
While holding up the tip of the guide
bar, adjust the chain tension until the
tie straps just touch the bottom side
of the guide bar.
5. After adjusting the chain tension,
tighten the guide bar mounting
nuts securely with the plug wrench
attached to this unit while lifting up
the tip of the guide bar.
[Tightening torque]
11.8 ~ 14.7 N·m {120 ~ 150 kgf-cm}
(1) Lift up the tip of the guide bar.
(2) Tighten
6. Check that the saw chain moves
lightly by hand and that there is
not a large gap between the guide
bar and the saw chain. If the
tension is insufficient, loosen the
guide bar mounting nuts and
readjust them.
