To modify Connection preferences
1 In the Connections Preferences panel, tap a connection option to select it.
2 Tap Edit... to display the Edit Connection screen.
3 Make the desired changes.
4Tap OK.
Setting an Infrared to modem connection
You can create a modem connection that enables IR HotSync through an IR-enabled
modem. This modem would then dial a modem attached to your computer to perform
the remote HotSync operation.
Modem via Cradle/

This connection type defines a connection between your
handheld’s Versatile Connector and a modem for dialing in
a modem that is part of your computer.
Modem via Infrared This connection type defines a connection between the IR
port of your handheld and a modem. The modem can be
attached to or within a mobile phone or other devices
supporting an IR port. (Some IR phones have modems.)
