The embedded Web server provides an interface to the product that anyone who has a network-
connected computer and a standard Web browser can use. No special software is installed or
configured, but you must have a supported Web browser on the computer.
Certain pages in the HP Embedded Web Server include online help.
To open the HP EWS, complete the following steps:
1. At a network-connected computer, open a Web browser.
2. In the browser address field, type the product IP address, and then press the Enter button.
If you do not know the product IP address, print a configuration page, which lists the IP address in
the IPv4 section.
a. Press the Home button
to open the menus.
b. Press the up arrow
or the down arrow to scroll to INFORMATION, and then press OK.
c. Press the up arrow
or the down arrow to scroll to PRINT CONFIGURATION.
d. Press the OK button to print the configuration page.
3. To open the HP EWS online help, click the Help link in the upper righthand corner of the page.
Not all HP EWS pages are equipped with help.
HP Web Jetadmin
Use HP Web Jetadmin and a Web browser to manage HP Jetdirect-connected products within an
intranet. HP Web Jetadmin is a Web-based management tool and should be installed only on a single
network-administration server.
