Chapter 3. Conguration of the ThinkServer Remote
Management Module
This topic describes how to use the server conguration utility to change the Remote Management Module
from the un-congured status to the running status. When rst installed, the Remote Management Module
by default will search DHCP server on the network to automatically assign IP address, subnet mask and
gateway. It is recommended that users manually set a xed IP address in the BIOS.
To set an IP address, do the following:
1. Press F1 as soon as you see the logo screen.
2. From the BIOS setup menu, select Server Management ➙ BMC Network Conguration ➙
Conguration Address Source.
3. From the Conguration option, you can choose STATIC or DHCP to set IP address.
4. When you nish the conguration, save the settings.
