7 Trouble Shooting (BULK-14)
Symptom Probable Cause(s) Correction(s)
Front Panel not Lit
1. No AC power.
2. Wiring harness connection loose.
3. Damage or pinched internal wiring
or power cord.
1. Confirm outlet has the required voltage
and external circuit breaker is on.
2. Disconnect power, remove the front
panel and inspect the connections to the
circuit boards. Reconnect any loose
wire or harness.
3. Replace or repair if damaged. If a
connector is burnt, this could signify a
hazardous condition. Do not repair!
Consult the factory.
System Main Circuit
Breaker, On/Off Switch is
Tripped
1. Operator lowers tank set
temperature after tank has reached
set temperature.
2. Faulty tank heater circuit causing
overheating
1. Allow tank to cool below or equal to
previously set temperature. Turn the
circuit breaker ON and quickly press
temperature increment, increasing
desired tank temperature.
10. Replace Front Panel Control Board as
follows:
P/N 986597 for 115VAC unit
P/N 984358 for 230VAC unit
Tank taking longer to heat.
Front Panel Lit.
1. Temperature set too low for
product. Temperature range
improperly selected.
2. Tank Heater is damaged
3. Tank Thermistor malfunctioning
4. Tank Heater control circuit is
damaged.
5. Fuse(s) open on input/output
circuit card
1. Set temperature range correctly per
adhesive application temperature.
Output Tank LED will flash amber to
green after resetting and heating begins.
2. Check resistance of heater, with an
ohmmeter, between brown and blue
wires in the Molex 3 Pin Connector
Replace heaters as follows:
For 115VAC Tank Heater P/N 986643
For 230VAC Tank Heater P/N 986644
3. Check Thermistor resistance using an
ohmmeter, at room temperature, reading
should be approximately 100K Ohms at
white Molex type 2 pin connector.
Replace with Thermistor Assembly
P/N 986467
4. Replace Front Panel, as follows:
Order P/N 986597 for 115VAC unit
Order P/N 984358 for 230VAC unit
5 Check fuse(s) on input/output power
circuit card with ohmmeter located on
back side of Front Control Panel.
Replace fuse(s) if open with
Fuse Kit P/N 989360
