Sound quality/sound field operations

Adjusting the bass
Press [SUBWOOFER].
•
When listening through speakers
Each time you press the button:
MID (medium) → MAX (high) → Light off (flat)
•
When listening through headphones
Each time you press the button:
Light on (on) ↔ Light off (off)
Changing sound field and
quality
Press [SOUND EQ] to select a setting.
Each time you press the button:
HEAVY: Adds punch to rock.
CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds.
SOFT: For background music.
DISCO: Reverberates sound to make you feel like you
were in a disco.
LIVE: Makes vocals more alive.
HALL: Expands sound to make you feel like you were in
a hall.
MANUAL (M.EQ): Create your own effects (➡ below).
AI EQ: Adjust sound with the acoustic image equalizer
(➡ page 32).
FLAT: Canceled (no effect is added).
Remote control: Press [SOUND EQ].
Note
SOUND EQ and SUPER SOUND EQ (➡ page 32) cannot be used at
the same time.
Using the manual equalizer
(MANUAL)
Create your own sound quality effects.
Remote control:
1 Press [SOUND EQ] to select
“MANUAL”.
2 (Within 10 seconds)
Change the sound quality with the
cursor buttons.
1 Select the sound range to be adjusted with [;] or [:].
2 Adjust the level with [8] or [9].
Repeat step 2 to set the desired sound quality.
The original display is restored on the display panel in about
10 seconds.
To cancel
Press [SOUND EQ] to select “FLAT”.
The changes you make are stored and automatically recalled the
next time you select “MANUAL”.
