Key tone
(Menu 7-1-3)
Using this menu, you can set up the keypad tone
that the phone sounds when you press a key.
The following options are available:
Tone Type
: allows you to select a tone that the
phone sounds when you press a key. Choose one of
Man(Heb)
,
Lady(Eng)
,
Raindrop
and
Beep
.
Volume
: allows you to adjust the volume of the
keypad tone using the Navigation keys or the
Volume keys on the left side of the phone.
Function alert
(Menu 7-1-4)
Your phone gives audible alerts (beeps) at a
specified time to inform you that certain things
have happened. The alerts only occur in your
earpiece so the other person on the phone does not
hear them.
The following alerts are available:
Minute Beep
: When this alert is selected, the
phone sounds an alert 10 seconds before each
elapsed minute to remind you of the length of the
current call.
Service area
: When this alert is selected, the
phone sounds an alert when you exit your service
area or when you return to the service area.
Connect
: When this alert is selected, the phone
sounds a connect tone when your call is connected
to the system.
Disconnect
: When this alert is selected, the phone
sounds a disconnect tone when a call is
disconnected.

Fade
: When this alert is selected, the phone
sounds an alert when a dropped call occurs during
conversation in response to a signal fade.
Folder
: When this alert is selected, the phone
sounds an alert when you open or close the phone.
To turn on an alert:
1. Select an alert using the Navigation keys and
press the
Select
soft key.
2. When a confirming message displays, select
On
and press the
Select
soft key.
Hour alert
(Menu 7-1-5)
You can set your phone to sound an alert every
hour on the hour.
1. Enter the period of time using the numeric keys
and press the Down key.
2. Select the alert type,
Cuckoo
or
Voice
, using
the Left or Right key.
3. Press the Down key and select
On
using the Left
or Right key.
If you don’t want to use the hour alert, select
Off
.
4. Press the
Save
soft key.
Power On/Off
(Menu 7-1-6)
You can select the tone that the phone sounds when
you turn on or off the phone.
To turn off the sound, select
Off
.
