To check that the license server is listening
1Onthemachineonwhichthelicenseserverisinstalled,chooseStart>Command
Prompt.
2Typenetstat -abatthecommandline.
3Verifythatthelmgrd.exeprocessislisteningonport27000andthatthe
VMWARELM.exeprocessislisteningonport27010.
Ifnot,thelicenseservermightnotbeinstalled
ormightnotbestarted.
To check the license server status
1Onthemachineonwhichthelicenseserverisinstalled,chooseStart>Programs>
VMware>VMwareLicenseServer>VMwareLicenseServerToolstolaunchthe
LMTOOLSutility.
2ClicktheServerStatustabtodisplaytheServerStatuspage.
3ClickPerformStatusInquiry.
License
serverinformation,includingthelocationofthelicensefile,appearsatthe
bottomofthepage.
