Licenses
After
you
installtheCommunicatorpackage,youmustlicense
itwith
avalid
license
code.Thiscodeusesatechnique
callednodelocking,inwhich
AvalancheMCislicensedonlyfora
specific
computer,ornode,
on
your
network.
Anodeisdefined
asseveralspecific
systemattributesthat,
in
combination,uniquelydistingui sh
itfromany
othersystem
inyour
organization.
OncealicensefortheCommunicatorisactivatedandassociatedwitha
specificnode(nodel ocked)youcannotmovethatlicensetoanothernode.If
youwanttomovethelicense,youneedtocontactWavelinkCustomer
Service.
Communicatorlicensesareonaperdeviceabasis,meaningyoumusthavea
licenseforeachdeviceyouwanttousewithCommunicator.
When
you
activateAvalancheCommunicatorlicenses,alicense
file
called
wavelink.lic
isinstalledon
yoursystem,
whichprovides
theinformation
the
product
needstooperate.
AfteryouinstallCommunicator,youcanaccesstheWavelinkActivationdialog
boxfromthesoftwarepackageorbyselectingStart>AllPrograms>
WavelinkAvalanche>Activate.Usethisdialogboxtoactivateyour
Communicatorlicensesinoneofthefollowingways:
