4. To back up any additional directories, perform the following procedure:
a. Type the directory pathname for one of your additional directories and press Return.
The prompt is redisplayed.
b. Repeat the process of typing a pathname of a directory and pressing Return until you
have defined all of the additional directories.
c. If you have defined all additional directories, press Return.
The following prompt is displayed:
5. Type the disk filename or, if you are backing up to tape, the tape device name (the default
tape device name is /dev/rmt/0mn), and press Return.
The following message is displayed to confirm the backup of the directories:
6. Type y and press Return to continue.
The directories are backed up to tape. Once this process has completed, the
postinstallation script is finished.
7. Proceed to “Completing Postinstallation Processing”.
Completing Postinstallation Processing
To complete postinstallation processing:
1. Check the log file in /tmp/Post41Install.log for any error messages or information.
If errors occurred during processing, see “Restarting Sybase and the Postinstallation
Script” on page 34 and “Responding to a Postinstallation Script Failure” on page 35.
2. Continue with “Completing the Upgrade Process after COMMAND/POST Is Installed”
on page 36.
