fromyourCycloneMKV2.
ToallowyourCycloneMKV2toaccessmultimediafileoveranetwork,there
aretwoprerequisites.
FolderSharingandSecuritySettings.
EnsurethattheCycloneMKV2andthePCare
configuredtousethesameGatewayandSubnetMask.
Navigatetothefolderyouwishtoshareoverthenetworkandselectit,donot
enterthefolder.
Rightclickonthefolder,andasmallmenuwillappearnearthemousepointer.
Select“sharingandSecurity”fromthismenu.
Apropertiesboxwillnowappear.Inthisboxclickonthetablabelled
“Sharing”.
OnceintheSharingtabtherearetworadiobuttonslabelled“Donotsharethis
folder”and“Sharethisfolder”.
Selectthe“Sharethisfolder”radiobuttontoenableothercomputersto
accessmediafilesfromit.
Youmayalsowanttosetpermissionsforthefolder.Thiswillalloworprevent
usersfrommakingchangestothemediafiles.
Tosetpermissions,clickonthe“Permissions”button.Thiswillbringupthe
Permissionswindow.
Inthiswindowwillbedisplayedthepermissions,FullControl,Changeand
Read.
FullControl:Givestheuserfullcontrolofthefolderscontent.This
optionishighlyadvisednottoallowthisoption.
Change:Thisoptionallowsausertomodifythecontentsofthe
sharedfolder.
Read:Thisoptionallowsausertoaccessthemediafilesonly.
Ticktheappropriatetickboxesbestsuitedforyourrequirements.
Whenyouhavefinished,clickon“Apply”andthen“OK”.Thiswilltakeyou
backtothepreviouswindow.
