Replacing the adapter card
Attention
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the

This section provides instructions on how to replace the adapter card.
Note:
You need to remove the system board in order to replace the adapter card.
To replace the adapter card:
1. Open the computer cover. See “Opening the computer cover” on page 84.
2. Locate the system board and disconnect all cables connected to the system
board. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 83.
3. Press the two side tabs inward and then pivot the system board as shown to
release it from the chassis.
4. Place the system board on a clean and flat surface.
5. Locate the adapter card slot. See “Locating parts on the system board” on
page 83.
