Removing/Replacing PathBuilder S24x, 26x, and 27x Switch Cards
Introduction This section describes how to remove the PathBuilder S24x, 26x, and 27x switch
cards. The I/O cards are located in seven full-size and one half-size slots on the
motherboard.
Removing an
Expansion Card
Follow these steps to remove an expansion card:
Step Action
1 Verify that the power is OFF by removing the power cord.
2 Remove the top cover (refer to Figure 4-1 ).
3 Unlock the latch at the top of the support bar by turning the latch
counterclockwise 1/4 turn (Figure 4-4 ).
4 Pull the support bar out from the chassis.
5 To remove an expansion card:
• Remove the holding screw that is to the left of the card to be
removed (Figure 4-5 ).
• Disconnect any external cables attached to the card being removed.
• Gently pull the card away from its connectors and slide the card
out.
