TROUBLESHOOTING
Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions.
If the problem cannot be resolved as described, contact De’Longhi Customer Experience.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
The coee is not hot
The cups were not preheated. t &OBCMFUIFDVQXBSNFSMFBWFUIFDVQTBUMFBTU
minutes to warm up.
t Warm the cups by rinsing them with hot water (N.B.
you can use the hot water function).
The infuser has cooled down because 2/3 minutes
have elapsed since the last coee was made.
Before making the coee, warm the infuser by using the
Rinsing function to perform a rinse cycle (page 10).
Low coee temperature is set. In the menu, set a higher coee temperature.
The coee is thin or not creamy
enough.
The coee is ground too coarsely. Turn the grinding adjustment dial one click anticlockwise
towards “1” while the coee mill is in operation (g. 28).
Continue one click at a time until coee delivery is satisfac-
tory.
The eect is only visible after delivering 2 coees (see the
section: “adjusting the coee mill” on page 12).
The coee is unsuitable. Use pre-ground coee for espresso coee makers
The coee is delivered too slowly or a
drop at a time.
The coee is ground too nely. Turn the grinding adjustment dial one click clockwise to-
wards “7” while the coee mill is in operation (g. 28).
Continue one click at a time until coee delivery is satisfac-
tory. The eect is only visible after delivering two coees.
(see the section “adjusting the coee mill” on page 12).
Coee does not come out of one of
the spouts.
The spouts are blocked. Clean the spouts with a toothpick (g. 29B).
The milk does not
come out of the milk
spout.
the milk container lid is dirty. Clean the milk container lid as described in the section “clea-
ning the milk container”.
The milk contains
large bubbles and
squirts out of the
milk spout or there
is little froth .
the milk is not cold enough or is not semi-skim-
med.
Use skimmed or semi-skimmed milk at refrigerator tempe-
rature (about 5° c).
If the result is not as you wished, try changing brand of
milk.
The froth adjustment dial is incorrectly adjusted. Adjust following the instructions in the section “making
drinks with milk”.
The milk container lid or froth adjustment dial is
dirty
Clean the milk container lid and dial as described in the sec-
tion “cleaning the milk container”.
The hot water/steam nozzle is dirty Clean the nozzle as described in the section “cleaning the hot
water/steam nozzle”.
The milk contains
large bubbles here
is little froth .
The spout is dirty. Clean as described in the section “Cleaning the spout after
use”.
The appliance does not come on.
The connector is not inserted correctly. Insert the connector as far as it will go in the socket at the
back of the appliance.
It is not plugged into the mains socket. Plug into the mains socket.
The main switch (A7) is not turned on. Place the main switch in the i position (g. 2).
The infuser cannot be extracted
The appliance has not been turned o correctly
Turn the appliance o by pressing the button (page
10)
and wait until the display is completely shut o. At this point
the infuser is in the correct position and can be extracted.
