Press U or V to scroll through the following communication modes:
• Nibble (high)
• Auto
• Normal
• High Speed

When the desired communication mode is displayed, press [OK]
([ENTER]).

Press [MENU] to exit the menu selection.
Changing Serial Interface Parameters (FS-C5030N only)
NOTE: This section applies to the printer having the optional serial
interface board kit (IB-11) installed.
You can confirm or change the serial interface parameters including baud
rate, data bits, stop bits, parity, and protocol. These parameters must
match those of the computer’s serial interface.

Press [MENU].

Press U or V repeatedly until Interface > appears.

If the interface is other than serial, press
[OK] ([ENTER]). A blinking question mark
(?) appears.

Press U or V repeatedly until Serial
appears.

Press [OK] ([ENTER]) again.

Press Z. One of the following serial parameters is indicated (Baud rate
for example).
