applied and the automatic transmission
is shifted into P (Park).
● Never change tires when the vehicle is
on a slope, ice or slippery areas. This is
hazardous.
● Never changetires if oncoming traffic is
close to your vehicle. Wait for profes-
sional road assistance.
Blocking wheels
Place suitable blocks

at both the front and
back of the wheel diagonally opposite the flat tire

to prevent the vehicle from moving when it is
jacked up.
WARNING
Be sure to block the wheel as the vehicle
may move and result in personal injury.
Getting the spare tire and tools
1. Tip up the passenger’s side second row
captain’s chair. Refer to “Tip up for easy
entry to 3rdrow”in the “Safety — seats,seat
belts and supplemental restraint system”
section of this owner’s manual.
2. Lift up the floor carpeting and remove the
jack.
