3. Disconnect the signal and power cables from the rear of the hard disk drive.
4. By pulling on the blue handle, remove the hard disk drive and plastic bracket
from the drive bay.
5. Note the orientation of the hard disk drive in the plastic bracket.
6. Remove the drive by flexing the plastic enough to slide the drive out.
7. Install the new hard disk drive into the plastic bracket by flexing the plastic
enough to insert the drive.
8. Install the hard disk drive and bracket into the bay until it snaps into position.
9. Reconnect the signal and power cables to the drive.
10. To complete the installation, go to “Replacing the cover and connecting the
cables” on page 135.
Removing and replacing the optical drive
1. Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 116.
2. Disconnect the signal and power cables from the rear of the optical drive.
3. Release the optical disk drive by pressing on the blue retainer lever at the side
of the drive and removing it from the front of the computer.
