3. Release the diskette disk drive by pressing on the blue retainer lever at the side
of the drive and removing it from the front of the computer.
4. Remove the retainer bracket form the failing drive and install it on the new
drive.
5. Install the diskette drive into the bay until it snaps into position.
6. Connect the signal and power cables to the drive.
7. To complete the installation, go to “Replacing the cover and connecting the
cables” on page 135.
Removing and replacing the fan assembly
1. Remove the cover. See “Removing the cover” on page 116.
2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board fan connector. See “Identifying
parts on the system board” on page 118.
3. It is not necessary to remove the front bezel to replace the fan assembly.
However, it might make it a little easier.
To release the front bezel from the chassis, press on the blue button at the top
and pull the bezel outward as shown.
