CREATING HYPERLINKS ON MAPS
1. Use the Editing tools to insert a shape on the map. You can insert a square, rectangle, circle, or oval.
2. Right-click the shape to display the pop-up menu.
3. Select Add Hyperlink. The Edit Hyperlink dialog box appears.

4. Select the hyperlink type. An additional field appears in the dialog box.
5. Enter the information for the hyperlink. For example, select a map in the system, locate a file on the
network, or type the URL address for the resource on the Internet or intranet. Selecting files in local
folders or resources on the Internet or intranet might not be available to all users if the system is not
set up to permit access to these folders or resources.
6. Click OK. The border around the shape changes to indicate that it contains a hyperlink.
