Overview
Overview
This chapter describes protocol-independent multicast routing operation on
the switches covered in this guide and how to configure it with the switch’s
built-in interfaces, and assumes an understanding of multimedia traffic con-
trol with IP multicast (IGMP), which is described in chapter 2, “Multimedia
Traffic Control with IP Multicast (IGMP)”.
For general information on how to use the switch’s built-in interfaces, refer to
these chapters in the Management and Configuration Guide for your switch:
