6.6 Actions on Abnormal Printer
Operation
Take appropriate actions on printer troubles according to symptoms.
The printer is not fed power
Impossible to print

The main power switch is not
turned on.

The power cord is damaged. Ask your dealer or service representa-
tive to replace the power cord.

Check the circuit breaker and other
switches so that the wall outlet is sup-
plied with electricity.

The printer is in the status in
which printing is not available
(symptom: ERROR lamp
on).
Take actions according to the
LCD message on the printer’s
control panel.

Press the START/STOP key to

A printer time-out occurred. In the menu on the printer’s con-
trol panel, increase the time-out
value.
