Installation Overview
1. Log on to the stand-alone workstation as a user with
administrative rights.
2. Install SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 on your stand-alone
workstation. See “Installing SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 on a
Stand-Alone Workstation” on page 6.
3. Install the Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio 8 software and the EBF
patch. See “Installing and Configuring the Sybase Service” on
page 8.
4. Install SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 client. See “SuccessMaker
Enterprise v1.6 Client Installation” on page 13.
5. Make a backup of your database. See “Performing a Live Backup
of SuccessMaker Enterprise Database” on page 16.
6. If you want to install the courseware on your stand-alone
workstation, go to “Installing the Courseware Software on a
Stand-Alone Workstation” on page 17.
7. Activate the courseware with your courseware license key, and
then verify that the new courseware and reports are functioning
properly. See “Licensing and Verifying the Installation” on
page 18.
