11. In the Sybase Central window, verify that the service is running,
and then close the window.
12. You must now verify that the database service installed correctly.

Verifying the Sybase Installation
To verify the installation and configuration of the Sybase database service,
complete the following steps:
1. Double-click the Sybase icon in the notification area, at the far
right of the taskbar.
2. Check if the version number in first line of the Adaptive Server
Anywhere window is 8.0.2.4339.
If you see any other version number, then the installation was not
successful. Contact Pearson Digital Learning Product Support at
1-800-227-8224 for assistance.
3. Pearson Digital Learning recommends that you maintain backup
copies of your SuccessMaker Enterprise v1.6 database. Go to the
next section.
