1. Remove all ash from fi rebox, and extinguish all hot embers
before disposal into a metal container.
2. Remove ceramic blanket & baffl e together
3. With a 3/16” Allen wrench, remove the front manifold tube
retainer bolts on the air channel under the end of the front
tube. Figure 35.1.
NOTE: Soak the bolts with penetrating oil for at least 15
minutes before trying to remove them.
4. To remove manifold tube, slide the tube to one side until one
end is out of its hole. Then, while lifting that end of the fi ber
board baffl e, pull tube up over the air channel and out of hole
at the other end.
5. Slide fi ber board baffl e forward to front of stove and straight
out through door. Figure 35.2.
6. To install the fi ber board baffl e, repeat steps 2 through 4 in
reverse.
7. The front manifold tube is shorter than the back two. It is
IMPORTANT that they are replaced in the correct position or
your stove will not operate properly.
8. Be sure the fi ber board baffl e and ceramic blanket are fully
pushed back into position and the blanket is down fl at. The
front of the blanket should be fl ush with the front of the baffl e.
