■ WHEN USING A METAL BLADE
• Swing the blade from right to left to
cut grass.
• To cut usual grass, use the part of
the blade corresponding to 1/2 of
the diameter of the blade. To cut
tough weeds such as Japanese
pampas grass and Solidago
altisima, use the part of the blade
corresponding to 1/3 of the
diameter of the blade.
• Adjust the rotation speed of the
engine in accordance with the
resistance of grass. Cut young
grass at middle speed, and cut
tough and thick grass such as
Japanese mugwort and vines at
high speed.
Operating the engine at low speed
might cause grass, weeds or twigs to
be caught up in the blade. It also
wears down the clutch more quickly.

the blade might damage the shaft and external pipe of this
machine.
