Configuring the computer interface
You can verify that the printer is configured properly by printing out a
printer configuration page.
Note
If the printer is configured with EIO cards (for example, an
HP JetDirect print server), an additional configuration page will print
that provides interface configuration information.
The Color LaserJet 4550 series has several new pages that can be
printed to help diagnose issues, including Supplies Status, Event Log,
and Usage pages. These pages are printable from the Infromation
menu.
Interpreting the printer configuration page
The following sample illustrates a 4500 series printer configuration page
(left) and a 4550 series printer configuration page (right).
