Symptom Cause and Countermeasure
Cannot play
Check ifthe CD/DVD/USB device wasinserted correctly.
Check ifthe CD/DVD is scratchedor dirty.
Check ifthere is condensation insidethe player. If thereis, wait untilthe condensation is gone(about 1 hour)before using the player.
If thereis a temperature increaseerror, the player willplay correctly afterit returns to thenormal temperature.
If thereis a mixture ofmusic CD files (CD-DAdata) and compressedaudio files on aCD, only themusic CD files (CD-DAdata) will beplayed.
Files withextensions other than “.MP3”, “.WMA”, “.AAC”, “.M4A”or “.AA3”cannot be played. Inaddition, the character codesand number ofcharac-
ters forfolder names and filenames should be incompliance with thespecifications.
Check ifthe disc or fileis generated in anirregular format. Thismay occur depending onthe variation orthe setting of thecompressed audio filewrit-
ing applicationor other text editingapplications.
Check ifthe finalization process, suchas session close anddisc close, isdone for the disc.
Check ifthe CD/DVD/USB device isprotected by copyright.
Poorsound quality Check ifthe CD/DVD is scratchedor dirty.
It takesa relatively long time
before themusic starts
playing.
If thereare many folders orfile levels on theCD/DVD/USB device, orif it is amultisession disc, sometime may be requiredbefore the musicstarts
playing.
Music cutsoff or skips
The writingsoftware and hardware combinationmight not match, orthe writing speed,writing depth, writing width,etc., might notmatch the
specifications. Tryusing the slowest writingspeed.
Skipping withhigh bit rate
files
Skipping mayoccur with large quantitiesof data, such asfor high bitrate data.
Moves immediatelyto the
next songwhen playing
If anunsupported compressed audio filehas been given asupported extension like“.MP3”, orwhen play isprohibited by copyright protection,the
player willskip to the nextsong.
Songs donot play back in
the desiredorder
The playbackorder is the orderin which the fileswere written bythe writing software. Therefore,the files mightnot play in thedesired order.
Random/Shuffle maybe active on theaudio system or onthe USB device.
