Power Quality Analyzer Model 3945-B
A programmed alarm must be set to “ON” to function properly (general acti-
vation or deactivation of alarms is generated in the alarm mode).
Modifying one or several characteristics of an alarm set to “ON”, automati-
cally switches it to “OFF”.
HysteresisPercentage(1,2,5or10%).Ahysteresisvalueissettoprevent
multiple recordings of an event that goes above the threshold and a certain
percentage below it at times. Example: Alarm threshold is 100 Volts or higher,
hysteresis is 1%. When voltage goes up to 100V, the alarm condition starts,
whenitnextgoesbackdownto99V,thealarmconditionstops.

Alarm Programming
Choose the parameters associated with an alarm from the available parame-
ters(phasessurvey,thresholdvalueandminimumdurationlteringcanbepro-
grammed).
NOTE: The programmed hysteresis is common to all alarms.
• Highlight Alarm with the
buttons, then press the button.
• Selectthemodiableeldusingthe
buttons.
• Activate or adjust the threshold values using the
buttons.(Theeldtobe
modiedisshowninbold.)
• Press the
buttonwhenyouhavenishedsettingallthealarmparameters.
NOTE: When the alarm is “OFF”, the parameters previously used are stored in
memory and reappear if the alarm is selected again.
