14.6 Filtering
Filtering means forwarding (not supported on all models) or discarding packets based on the
MAC addresses and VLAN group.
To open the MAC Filtering screen, right-click on the switch in the Device List Panel, and
click Configuration > Switch Configuration > Filtering to display the following screen.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.
14.6.1 Creating a New Filter
To create a new filter, click Add in the Filtering screen. A configuration screen displays as
shown.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Index This field displays the index number.
Active This field displays whether the filter is enabled (Yes) or not (No).
Name This field displays the descriptive name for this filter.
MAC Address This field displays the MAC address of a device whose traffic is forwarded or blocked.
VID This field displays the ID of the VLAN group to which the MAC address belongs.
Action This field displays the action on the matching packets.
Add Click Add to create a new filter.
Delete Click Delete to remove the selected filter.
