19.1.1 Configuring a Static Route
Click the Add button or select a static route and click the Modify button in the Routing
Configuration screen to display the following screen.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Index This field displays the index number of the route.
Name This field displays the descriptive name for this route. This is for identification
purposes only.
Active This field displays Yes when the static route is activated and No when is it
deactivated.
Destination Address This field displays the IP network address of the final destination.
Subnet Mask This field displays the subnet mask for this destination.
Gateway Address This field displays the IP address of the gateway. The gateway is an immediate
neighbor of your switch that will forward the packet to the destination.
Metric This field displays the cost of transmission for routing purposes.
Add Click the Add button to create a new static route.
Modify Select the rule(s) that you want to change and click the Modify button.
Delete Select the rule(s) that you want to remove in the Delete column, and then click
the Delete button.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Active This field allows you to activate/deactivate this static route.
Name Enter a descriptive name for this route. This is for identification purposes only.
Destination
IP Address
This parameter specifies the IP network address of the final destination. Routing is
always based on network number. If you need to specify a route to a single host, use a
subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 in the subnet mask field to force the network number
to be identical to the host ID.

Mask
Enter the subnet mask for this destination.
