Main fan, fan duct, and environmental sensor

Use the steps in this procedure to remove only the environmental sensor, or the sensor and the main
fan.
1. Before proceeding, remove the following components:

DIMM cover. See

Formatter cover. See

●
Top-right cover. See
Top-right cover on page 73.
●
Control panel. See
Control panel on page 74.
●
Front-right and right-side cover assembly. See

2. To remove the main fan, fan duct, and the environmental sensor: Disconnect two connectors
(callout 1 and callout 2), and then release the wire harnesses from the retainers (callout 3).
To remove the environmental sensor only: Disconnect one connector (callout 1) and release
the wire harness from the retainers (callout 3).
